The hike starts in Slesvig and follows the old route (Hærvejen) to Viborg. During the hike we will experience the magnificent nature of Jutland and a lot of historical memorials. Every year about 300 participates both from home and abroad. And on the hike friendships have been made both nationally and internationally during the years. Due to increased demands from fire authorities in regards to accommondation enrolment in 2011 will be closed at 300 walkers. Approximately 40 assistants participate in making this an experience for life.

THE HIKE

The hike begins in Slesvig Sunday the 10th of July at 7am. The daily hike is 46-49 km long. However, the second and the seventh day’s hiking are shorter. The participants start together every morning at 8 am. However, the first and the last day the hike starts at 7am. A joint entry in Viborg will be made. The speed of the hike is maximum 7,5 km per hour and minimum 3,5-4 km per hour including breaks, which means that everybody in fairly shape can participate. Every day contains 3-4 resting areas plus water posts.

PRICE
Participating in the hike will cost you €375. If you have paid the full amount by the first of June, the price will be reduced to €345.  The payment covers accommodation, breakfast, dinner, soup for lunch, luggage transport, the medal and one way transportation.

It will be possible to sleep in a hostel/hotel/inn in rooms for 2-4 persons. If you choose this option the price will be €950, and your enrolment and the whole amount must be paid no later than the 15th of April.
